A fantastical Grimmsian tale for the whole family

Barking Gecko Theatre is presenting the 'winter-ful' premiere of the original fairytale The Snow. Tickets are now on sale.

Written by celebrated Australian playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer, The Snow is a heartfelt and entertaining tale that is sure to delight the whole family these winter school holidays.

Directed by Adam Mitchell, this exciting production brings the fantastical Grimmsian tale to life on the stage with exquisite visual storytelling by some of WA's leading theatre-makers.

When an epic snowfall imprisons the residents of the tiny village of Kishka, young Thea Sutton proposes the villagers build a catapult to fling her and the village's bravest and strongest out in search of a solution. The catapult hastily assembled, Thea and the heroes are launched over the snow and into the grandest of adventures.

"What a grand gift ... the marvellous, timely message of The Snow bears repeating - over and over - so the walls of chilling darkness that divide humanity may warm into shared charity and kindness." - Broadway World

Whimsical and humorous, dark, and mysterious, The Snow is an enchanting experience for the whole family.

Tickets are on sale now through www.barkinggecko.com.au/2023-season/2023-season/the-snow. Early bookings are advised.
