I'm like a piece of bread. Reliable, tasty and a little naughty. Check out my blog -

Waking up after a big night out and nursing a massive hangover, the last thing I thought my friends would suggest is a game of Lawn Bowls. "I'm 23, not 83 guys" I replied, oh how naive I was.

Once we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. After we signed in, she told us the price. Now everyone, be prepared to cut into that term deposit, because $4 for the whole afternoon IS A STEAL.

We were then directed to go outside and see the man supplying the bowls and the knowledge.

He showed us on our way and boy, were we off. Picture this (mainly because I forgot my camera) the sun shining, a cold beer, the beach just behind you and the most relaxed game in the world.

Even better, an hour in or so, a gentleman started up a BBQ and the sausage sizzles were only $2. Many laughs were had, drinks drunk and new friends made and the best part of all, I only spent $14 all day.

They have this every Sunday and I can see myself becoming a Lawn Bowls Champion.

Also just a sneaky piece of advice, it is called barefoot bowls but you aren't actually allowed to be barefoot, so wear thongs or flats.
