I have to say that I've been grieving the end of the Fringe Festival, and been looking for something to keep me engaged with live performances until next year. One of the acts at this year's Fringe Festival was , developed in 2010 by local performers Andrea Gibbs and Kerry O'Sullivan. Both of these artists have an impressive local, interstate, and international pedigree, and they've brought a really high quality event to the heart of Perth.

Held on the last Tuesday of each month at The Bird in Northbridge, brings together a fantastic range of story-tellers, guided by a monthly theme. Last night's theme was "Too Much Information," which resulted in an incredible range of tales from six local performers. I laughed (a lot). I was moved (a lot). A couple of the stories made me think (a lot).

If you think you have a story to tell, you have the option of putting your name down as a Wildcard, and you may be selected to contribute to the show at the end of the evening. Sort of story-karaoke, I guess. If you think you need a little more preparation, then offer workshops a few times a year. I believe the next one is in May, so you can see April's show and if you're inspired to join in, there may be some spots left.

is a great way to spend a Tuesday evening once a month, especially if you combine it with a quick bite to eat beforehand at one of the many cafes in Northbridge. If you like to support local talent and live shows, it's a must. If you've never been, but liked the Fringe Festival this year, then I can thoroughly recommend it as a way of maintaining the vibe.
