You know when comedian women light up the stage and then make you laugh so hard you have to cross your legs?
Yes, these two have that magic ability.
Barefaced Stories draws a shoulder to shoulder crowd for their shows - two massive nights of storytelling hosted by these clever women; Andrea Gibbs and Kerry O'Sullivan.
This is like getting all the best bits of Fringe World Comedy in a chocolate box, and what a box it was on opening night.
The event features an all-male line-up of some of the biggest acts from Fringe, gracing the stage for 5 minutes of storytelling. Deep, dark, funny, crude, shocking, lovely, heartwarming and fun secrets are revealed, and you really get a nice swill from all different kinds of vintage.
Each performer takes the stage with nothing but their story - no scripts or props or music. From circus performers to comedians, a single dad to the poor guy who had to pee during his most exciting career moment and the funniest song about testicular cancer possible under the circumstances.
What's so enticing is how real the moments are. It's not a show, it's a revelation and a fabulous peek into the people the performers really are. In addition, the sizzling wit created between the show's two presenters feels like a treat of a show in itself.
You've missed opening night, BUT there's still a show on Monday 15th February with a whole new line up.
Be aware this event seems to be a Fringe favourite, we were getting up close and personal with the folk in our booth so do get there early!
