StageArt will be staging the Victorian professional premiere of Bare: The Musical at Chapel off Chapel from 20 March to 15 April, 2018.

Bare: The Musical was written by Jon Hartmere and Damon Intrabartolo with lyrics by Hartmere and music by Intrabartolo.


Set at a Catholic boarding school in the early 2000s, the students are struggling with religion, sexuality and identity. As they rehearse for a production of Romeo and Juliet, parallels are drawn between the play's star-crossed lovers and students, Peter and Jason. Peter is preparing to come out to his mother, while Jason is fighting to keep their relationship secret as he's a popular athlete. Ivy, a beautiful but troubled girl is pursuing Jason, much to the dislike of her sister, Nadia.

The main roles will be performed by Adam Di Martino, Mandi Lodge, Finn Alexander, Jake Fehily, Hannah McInerney, Tom New, Hannah Grondin and Hany Lee.

Other cast members include Zenya Carmellotti, Stephanie Marion Wood, Morgan Heynes as Tayna, David Cuny, Jye Cannon, Vanessa Menjivar and Quin Kelly.
