Retail therapy has lost its charm these days. One can't enter a store without being visually assaulted by neon prints, excitable sale assistants or $200 'sales.' Dresses today are made poorly, with cheap materials and designs that tear and stretch after the first wash or are boned with hard under wires that irritate the skin.
Bardot is the exception.
It's chic, it's loud and it boasts a wide range of winter to summer fashions almost all year round. Whether it's classic knitwear, denim, cocktail dresses or a simple cotton shirt, Bardot is one of the best retail stores to find a dress that is well made and tailored into flattering cuts.
The white sheer Sequin Bubble Dress ($89.95), which is fitted with a boned corset, banded waist and draped ruffles and the Open Back Lace Dress ($89.95) fitted with sheer lace and a classic open back design are just too examples of the intricacy and care that is taken in the production of these dresses.
Shopping in Bardot is a pleasure as the assistants are always abundantly helpful and the changing rooms themselves are a treat, plush rooms concealed by thick, red velvet curtains. So if you're searching for the perfect LBD, Sunday best or something a little more vivacious and you're willing to pay a little extra but nothing too exorbitant, choose Bardot.
