I am a mum of two and Primary School teacher whose aim is to never be home during the midday movie. I believe that I am only ever a car trip away from an adventure.
Event: -
Get your Little Pinkie out for High Tea with Barbie
Barbie rarely does anything without a little fanfare and the release of her new DVD, Barbie and the Pearl Princess, is an event she wants you to get excited about. And what better way to celebrate all that is pink and pretty than a high tea in the exquisite surroundings of the Clarendon Ballroom at the Langham Hotel.

This event is so divine and delectable you will be completely blown away, as will your little princess or prince. You may have attended a gorgeous Tiffin high tea here before, there's been a Frozen, Peter Pan and Ariel themed day, but none of these are quite as special as this tea party hosted by beautiful, blond barbie herself.

Your pretty in pink party hostess.

This is the first time youngsters have been invited to enjoy the ballroom with previous high tea sittings being held in the Aria Restaurant. The ballroom sits on the 25th level and large windows provide the most amazing views of the city and really make you feel on top of the world. The brilliance of using this space is that it separates the main hustle and bustle of the corporate hotel from the fun and frivolities that the kids are having, a very relaxing scenario for parents and caregivers.

A Table set for a perfect little princess

Now top that gorgeous view with a room full of balloons, streamers, lots of pink and Barbie and a table set for royalty. The menu is specially created to embrace the theme and you can expect mini guests to be indulged with sparkling pink lemonade, Tiara fairy bread, Pearl cupcakes, Popcorn cups, Strawberry mousse cones, Seahorse cookies, Candy bracelets and ofcourse yummy, fluffy scones with jam and chantilly cream.

This stand is just for the little guests at Barbies Tea Party

Unfortunately folks, that's just for the kids. However along with a glass of bubbles and your choice of hot beverage, grown ups get to devour their own kind of wonderful. Imagine Salmon pinwheels, Cucumber and cress finger sandwiches, scones that are second to none and a plate of little treats like Fruit tarts, Chocolate eclairs and moist Candied fruit tea cakes. I am won over by the Choc dipped strawberries every time.

And something for Barbies more mature party guests.

Tickets are $59 per child and includes a take home Fairy Princess Barbie doll and a turn with the face painter too. An adult ticket costs $65 and that gets you a glass of sparkling wine along with your nibbles. It's really worth it, the grandiose of this gorgeous affair will tickle you and your little guests pink.

Your Comment
It has been bought to my attention that due to large numbers, the Barbie High Tea event will not be held in the Clarendon Ballroom as initially posted but in the podium level, level 3 of the Langham. That does mean no lovely views to enjoy with your bubbles and Pearl cupcakes but definitely worth taking an elevator ride up for a sneaky peek if you can!

I am a bit disappointed by the fairy bread - they could have at least made the sandwiches without sugar - but everything else looks brilliant. The adult high tea looks particularly elegant.
