Join Barbie in her all new space adventure
Barbie and her friends are back in an all-new, intergalactic adventure which the entire family will love and with its subtle references to franchises such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Back To The Future and many more.
For those not already in the know, this is actually Barbie's second motion picture set in space. Her first venture out into the Galaxy was back in 1987 in the released straight to video film Barbie and The Rockers Out of This World!
Barbie, (voiced by Erica Lindback; Barbie & Her Sisters in a Puppy Chase and Barbie: Dreamtopia), is a young girl living on a planet, in the outskirts of the universe, with her dad (Voiced by Michael Chandler in his debut role), her pet named Pupcorn, (voiced by Lucien Dodge; Barbie: Dreamtopia and World of Warcraft: Legion), who is waiting to find out what animal he will evolve into and all of the weird and wonderful wild animals of their planet. One day the King Constantine of the universe, (voiced by Dwight Schultz; The A-Team and Star Trek: First Contact), summons her to his palace to go on a mission into the heart of the universe, in order to help him save the stars from burning out and she jumps at the chance to prove herself.
Barbie and her friends at the premiere of her latest movie
Barbie soon finds out that she does not always see eye to eye with the king, as he rules over his subjects by forcing them to do everything his way and does not allow them to be creative and unique, which Barbie and her new found friends definitely are.
Not only does Barbie have to help save the universe from going dark forever, but she must now help King Constantine learn that sometimes it is good for people to be different as well and neither of these tasks are going to be easy!
This is a beautifully animated film, with stunning alien planets and an incredible depiction of a galaxy far, far away, matched memorable characters, a rocking soundtrack and a wonderful story, which proves that we are all special in our own way. It also delves into the lesson that change can sometimes be a great thing.
Barbie Star Light Adventure is absolutely not to be missed by anyone who either loves Barbie, or has ever dared to dream of exploring space and all its wonders.
