Sydney's newest headland reserve, Barangaroo Reserve, is celebrating its first birthday in spectacular style on Sunday 21st August from 10am to 3pm. Come and join in the celebrations at this free event open to everyone.

Bring along your friends and family to enjoy Sydney's magnificent harbour as your backdrop. Lots of fun for all the family with heaps of kid-friendly events throughout the reserve. This fantastic six-hectare headland of open space is available to locals and visitors alike so this first birthday is going to be extra-special.

Celebrations will start with a Welcome to Country on Walumil Lawn, Sydney Children's Choir will perform, the birthday cake will be cut and 3000 birthday cupcakes will be given away. There will be a Pop Up Nature Playground with a giant sand pit for the littlies to enjoy and whilst they enjoy that you can join in the Orienteering Race and explore this wonderful natural parkland reserve.

Bring along your own picnic if you like but there will be food available to purchase as well. Also, this is the last day of 'Sculpture at Barangaroo', the free outdoor exhibition run in partnership with 'Sculpture by the Sea'. It will be a day of birthday celebrations for an area of Sydney transformed from an ugly industrial site to the jewel of Sydney's parkland areas. Save the date now and organise all your besties for a great day at Barangaroo Reserve.
