Looking for somewhere special to hang out with friends? BAR100 is a delightful choice. BAR100 is a sandstone restaurant, consisting of a fine dining area, a modern bar section and a spacious outdoor area. The solid sandstone building was first built as a mariners' church more than 100 years ago (est. 1856).

Stepping into the place, I was attracted to its interior design - high ceilings garnished with elegant lighting alongside beautiful tree-shaped backdrop at the back of the fine dining section. Additionally, the arches on the sandstone walls add a touch of character.

Adjacent to the dining area, you can find the bar section. It is not a big area but it is pretty handy for a quick meal or drinks.

There are high tables and high stools in the centre of the outdoor area. However, you and your friends can also choose to settle into the couches, enjoying food and drinks comfortably.

The restaurant /bar serves Italian cuisine, modern Australian cuisine and pizza. I ordered the lunch special - smoked salmon with cherry tomato, fettuccine, feta and pesto ($15). The meal was quite good, though it's a little bit salty. While the food may not be very special here, the dining experience at a restored heritage building is unique.
