Do you remember the old Arnott's Biscuits factory that was located in North Strathfield? The one that always smelt like Scotch Finger biscuits? I do, I did, and it exists no more. The old factory is sectioned into different shops, café's, a supermarket and Bar Biscotti.
Bar Biscotti is owned and run by young entrepreneur Joe. He works hard, works smart but looks as though he's young enough to still be at school. We sat outside for an 'alfresco' feel. I had a fresh juice, sipped an espresso while ordering a bruschetta entre. I didn't realise it was going to be a huge serve of delicious toasted Italian bread with tomato, Spanish onion, olive oil and rocket, all served on a wooden board, fresh and ready to be eaten. Mmmmmmmmmmmm delicious.
I wanted to know what else he had on the menu. 'My signature dish is my Spicy Fish Wrap' he said. I tried the wrap and it was spicy, delicious and filling but not stuffing, plated perfectly and filled the gap.
Spicy Fish Wrap
My husband ordered the BLT, just like any man would. It actually looked as delicious as it tasted. His side order of chips came in an ever so cute miniature frying pot and sat on a wooden board just like the bruschetta did.
Cute chip pot
The inside was very quaint and took you to an old place, the little tricycle reminded me of old postmen, I stepped into an old episode of 'Little House on the Prairie'. Yes, I'm old. I didn't dare look at the dessert menu; I wanted to be a good girl for a change.
