I love a good rice paper roll and these salt & pepper rice paper rolls from Banoi in Docklands are scrumptious.

The restaurant has a few little quirks that I'm very fond of, like stainless steel water glasses, and lovely dark wood tables and Vietnamese iced coffee, plus I'm a sucker for the idea of 'street food' with a little window area you order your tasty treats from.

Some days I arrive at Banoi late in the afternoon, but rather than missing out on these delicious and filling rice paper rolls, I am able to simply walk into their main restaurant and order, I actually enjoy this process also, sitting on the stools that are equipped with bicycle pedals and enjoying the space filled with dark wood tables and pillars covered in oriental designs. The other thing I like is that the team who work in the restaurant are always super friendly and willing to offer you a glass of water and ask how your day is, I never underestimate waiters who are actually friendly, I think it is a skill.

If you're ever over in Docklands, even if you only have a few minutes, I recommend stopping by for a rice paper roll or two at Banoi, it is delightful.
