, located in Pymble, is above all else a sportsground. It's a place for kids to practice their athletic skills and sportsmen and sportswomen of all ages to compete. But that isn't to say sports facilities are all this place has to offer.

Like any oval, Bannockburn consists of a huge grassy space, which has a synthetic cricket pitch out in the middle. However, unlike many other ovals, it also has tracks around its edges marked for sprints and longer distances.

There are facilities for field events too (which means it can get busy in Little Athletics season)., such as one discus/shot put are out on the oval. On the other side of the clubhouse/toilet block, there's also another grassy area with two long jump pits and more throwing areas.

With so much sport going on, it's only appropriate that there is a series of steps for spectators to watch all the action from.

Not everything at is about sport and it can be enjoyed by those who are just looking for a bit of fun. If you've got little kids, for example, there is small playground in one corner, which has swings, a slide, a climbing set and seats.

At the back of the oval, hidden among the trees up a slope, there is also an area for bikes, with small jumps and dirt tracks.

If you want to visit , you will find parking is limited to 90 degree angle parking along Bannockburn Road. I'd recommend avoiding it when activities like Little Athletics are on, but otherwise there are plenty of spaces.
