I love Banjos. I am very fortunate that I'm often in Beerwah, where their cafe is right outside the supermarket. After the hassle of finding what I need in there, I can slip into Banjos for a welcome cuppa (my favourite is Chai Latte with Almond milk, extra hot) and a snack. As I am usually by myself, I love it that I can read the newspaper while I'm there.

Banjos began their life in Tasmania and now has 41 stores across five states. There are three stores on the Sunshine Coast. Beerwah, Warana and Maroochydore. They have an excellent loyalty program and give all members a lovely birthday treat. Australian ingredients are used and their large range of bread is preservative-free and made in-house. They are very supportive of local community projects.

All dietary needs are catered to. There is a great choice available for both vegetarians and vegans. All their sandwiches and rolls have health oozing out of them. A delicious range of cakes can be bought separately to have with your favourite beverage or buy a pack of six to save money and take the rest home to share.

My absolute favourites are the savoury scones. They are so moist and delicious. I always buy a pack of six and freeze them in separate bags. So good to have handy and always welcomed by visitors. I have often cut three of them into quarters (they will fill a dinner plate) and taken them as a share plate to functions. They are always well received and many people ask me where I buy them.
