The Indian Light Festival at Federation Square showcased the spectacular culture of India. The Light Festival is a huge event in India and I am amazed to see how traditional events like this are celebrated. The market stalls were selling not just pretty things but wares specially designed for the festival.

This is Banjaran's story - 'The soul of diverse India resides in its villages where people have a very beautiful and attractive lifestyle. After visiting a few of the impoverished places in India and meeting some great artisans, we decided to support their talents by selling their unique handmade products in the name of Banjaran The Village Girl.' See their designs at their Instagram

This is an online shop, so feel free to contact them via FB
Opens every day 10:00 AM - 7:30 PM

There was also spices, baby clothes, jewellery and blankets at the market and I wish I could find out more about it! Hopefully, in the future, there will be more information published prior to this kind of cultural event for the wider Melbourne population.
