The hot springs were discovered in 1884 and are now part of Banff National Park. The historic spa building and bathhouse host a modern facility with all the amenities. The springs are located on Sulphur Mountain at an altitude of 1585 metres. A short drive up Sulphur Mountain reveals a parking lot for guests. Then, guests walk up a short hill to the spa building.

Hours and prices are available on the website as hours change depending on the season. Those seeking an authentic 1920s bathing experience can rent retro-style bathing suits. Towels are also available to rent. The water temperature is kept between 37 and 40 degrees. For those interested in taking the waters, recommended time to be spent in the pool is 20 minutes. Experience shows that this is plenty of time for relaxation and the soothing of sore muscles given the heat of the water.

The Pleiades Spa provides further ways for guests to relax. Treatments offered include aromatherapy, facials, massage, shiatsu, reflexology, and reiki. Appointments are recommended. A full list of services and prices can be found on the website
