This simple exhibition centre is found in the north of Bandung. Open from 9 am until 5 pm but closed on Mondays. It made for an interesting half day out when my toddler and slightly older uncle, who's 11 years old, were looking for something to do. We took a drop off service to get there and I'm glad we did as it has limited parking.

I found they didn't speak much English there but I worked out that the tickets were 45,000 IDR per person. There is no discount for younger children which I felt made it a very expensive morning out for Bandung standards. Once we had our tickets, we had to wait for a guide to take us round.

The plus side of this was that each exhibition was fully explained and demonstrated. For me, as it was totally in Bahasa, I didn't get anything out of it, but then again the trip wasn't really for me. My toddler and her uncle loved it. I think the guide really helped keep them engaged.

There was everything from a big Iron Man explaining about the planets, optical illusions, archery and experiments. It's a very hands-on place and children are encouraged to get involved as much as possible.

I don't know how old this venue is, but I felt like it was new and they were still working on it. Some areas seemed not to be finished. I did notice there are no lifts so if you can't manage steps, sadly, you'll have to miss this one out. And I mean all of it, as you need to take about 30 steps from the ticket office to the start of the tour.

After the tour, we were then allowed to walk around on our own. The tour took about an hour and by that time my toddler had had enough. I feel older children would enjoy a little more time looking at the information and reading the details. Plus we had a small group, so maybe with a bigger group, it would have taken longer as there would have been more children taking turns with the experiments.

In summary, I felt for a half day out it was expensive for what it was. Small discounts for younger children would have been better. But if you have older children that understand Bahasa, I think they would have a good time and spend longer at the different attractions.

If you go – please leave me a comment to let me know what you feel.
