I am a weekend adventurer and enjoy getting out and about with the family. I live in Brisbane and my main loves are food, sport and kid related activities
Event:
Energetic Asian beats in the great outdoors
This free concert at the Einbunpin lagoon in Sandgate is part of the BrisAsia festival. It will include numbers from the Brisbane Symphonic Band and Japanese drumming group Toko-Ton.

The Brisbane Symphonic band comprises of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. They are one of Brisbane's leading community bands. Find out more about them on their website. For this concert, they will be performing Asian inspired music arranged for a concert band.

Toko-ton are a Japanese drumming group who seek to "inspire audiences through a combination of movement, rhythm and the sensitivity of this traditional Japanese energetic percussion" according to the Bemac website.

Given the calibre of both these groups this should be a dynamic event not to be missed. Bring your picnic rugs and get ready to enjoy.
