The first Bandaged Bear's Big Day Out will be held at Luna Park, Sydney, on Sunday, September 9. The event will be hosted by The Children's Hospital at Westmead to help raise the funds needed to continue providing sick children at the hospital with high quality care. It replaces the annual Teddy Bear's Picnic and will run from 10am to 6pm.

Activities at the Bandaged Bear's Big Day Out include the Bear Clinic (where kids can have their teddies checked), a reptile park and the KindiFarm. Of course, there are all the Luna Park rides too! Like the Wild Mouse, Dodgem City, Ferris Wheel, Moon Ranger and Coney Island.

An exclusive concert will also be held in the Big Top Auditorium, hosted by Nathan and Candice from Saturday Disney. Currently scheduled to perform are Charley Bear, Dorothy the Dinosaur and Captain Feathersword, Marvel Avengers, Young Talent Time winners Lil' Banditz Krew.

Tickets for the event are on sale now. They can be pre-purchased online or bought at the gate on the day. Family deals are available and children under 3 get in free. All tickets include unlimited access to rides and entertainment.

If you can't make it on the day and would still like to support the event, you have the opportunity donate to the cause or purchase tickets for disadvantaged children. These will be distributed to charities such as Ronald McDonald House, The Starlight Children's Foundation, Camp Quality, The Smith Family, Barnardos and Youth Off the Streets.

Bandaged Bear's Big Day Out is a fun, family day out, so why not behind a good cause and head to one of the funnest places in Sydney? If you don't have children, you might consider volunteering at the event (applications close Friday 23 August).
