A little slice of Manhattan in Sydney
Highlight of Day: Perfectly poached wobbly egg benedict with Brandy cured salmon in creamy hollandaise sauce.

We've decided to spoil ourselves with a nice classy working breakfast to mark a great start to the year.

Bambini Trust Cafe is the chosen venue.

To be honest, having 'Cafe' in the name is very misleading. This place is nothing like your normal mum n pop cafe.

Bambini Trust Restaurant & Cafe is located opposite the Hyde Park and tucked exclusively inside the grand sandstone St James Trust Building guarded with majestic columns.

Judging by the prices and the quality of the food, Bambini Trust is very much a fine dining venue.

When you see so many modern, glassed industrial high-rise buildings in the city, it is really refreshing to visit a well-maintained heritage sandstone building.

I really liked this kind of beautiful place with high ceilings and there is an old-school charm about it all together.

Here you will see the best-dressed ladies enjoying a social catch ups, powerful barristers in wigs advising their clients or businessmen in sharp suits seeking to impress the clients.

The coffees were strong and great. The quality definitely satisfies Sydney's caffeine-fueled corporate crowd.

The Fritattina ($14.50) was highly recommended by the waitstaff. It was a beautiful Italian style breakfast with thin omelette filled with Prosciutto, Goats Cheese & Basil.

It was a very well-made breakfast choice. We were happy with it.

I had the Crab Omelette ($18.00) which contained Alaskan King Crab flakes, Sweet Corn & Shallot. The serving was more than enough for me for breakfast.

The interior of this cafe restaurant is dark and swanky, but in an elegant European old-fashioned sort of way. Despite the dark moody setting, the cafe/restaurant is softly lit, intimate and sophisticated.

Eating on an outside clothed table was a great way to spend the morning.

This is really the top CBD cafe to take a potential client, partner to conduct an informal business meeting... or you can simply just enjoy it.

This is a little slice of Manhattan in Sydney. Very upmarket, very classy and I like it a lot.

Your Comment
The name of this place is quite deceptive; it is actually quite an adult place to eat.
