Jungle-themed trivia night to fundraise student Borneo trip
On Friday 29th November 2019, a group of twelve students from Balmoral State High School will be embarking on a three-week long expedition through Borneo. As a group, these students will take part in community aid work, rainforest conservation while exploring and immersing themselves in the Malaysian culture. In the final week of their trip, they will participate in a jungle trek up Mount Kinabalu, which is the largest mountain in Malaysia. This trek will also give them the opportunity of witnessing the stunning views and native wildlife that is quickly disappearing from Borneo.
In order to be part of this journey, each student is required to raise $5,600 to cover additional costs for required equipment, clothing and immunisations for the trip. To ensure each student can take part in this eye-opening experience, parents, teachers and students have organised fund-raising events throughout the year.
On Saturday 3rd August 2019, a jungle-themed trivia night will be held at the School Hall. Cost of tickets is $25.00 Adults and $15.00 Students. These can be purchased online here or direct by email to firstname.lastname@example.org There are heaps of prizes to be won. If wanting to book a group, tables of eight are available, however, there will be plenty of space on other tables if your group is of a small number. The Balmoral State High School is located at 259 Thynne Street, Balmoral.
Alcohol and food will be available for purchase on the night and you can also pre-order a gourmet cheese platter for your table at a cost of $25.00 per platter. You are asked to be seated by 6.00pm as the trivia will commence at 6.30pm sharp. The night concludes at 10.00pm.
