Holistic Pet Care
For those of us who have pets, they are loyal members of the family. We've had our toy poodle Teddy Bear for 8 years now and he has stood beside us through many ups and downs.

He became very ill recently and we had the good fortune to find Dr. Manuela Trueby, who founded Balmain Village Veterinary Clinic in the heart of Balmain in 1992.

Dr. Manuela is an incredible vet, very kind and intuitive. She offers specialised holistic treatment for pets. Teddy was not frightened by Manuela at all and in fact liked to follow her around the clinic.

The clinic itself is a very beautiful space that is light and airy. I've been to other vets that felt very cold and clinical. Balmain Village Vet feels like stepping into a warm familiar place, which is so important when our furry friends are unwell.

Dr. Manuela gave us hope when we had none, and in fact, other vets had said Teddy may need to be put down.

Dr. Manuela is carefully monitoring Teddy and we believe with her excellent care Teddy will live to be with us many more years.

In addition to conventional veterinary therapy, Dr Manuela uses Homeopathy, Flower-essences, Reiki, Herbalism and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Holistic Veterinary care looks at the healing of body, emotions and mind of the animal. I had never been to a vet like this before and I found it really helpful to address Teddy's issues in a holistic manner.

Dr. Manuela shared with me she has always had a love of animals, growing up on a family farm in Austria. She spent every summer at the farm where the horses, cows, dogs, cats and piglets became her best friends.

She was found trying to milk the cows at the age of three to give milk to the kittens and she would return the trout her father caught back to the river. By the age of five, she had found her true calling, to work with animals for the rest of her life. Dr. Manuela says, "It is my privilege to ensure their well being on every level, to choose the least harmful but most effective treatment, and to provide an environment where every dog and cat can feel safe, respected and loved when undergoing veterinary treatment."

Balmain Village Vet also offers puppy preschool classes and a luxurious Cat Hotel for your feline friends.

If you are looking for a well-rounded vet who can give an integrative approach to your dog or cat's health look no further than Dr. Manuela at Balmain Village Vet - you will not be disappointed with her superb treatment.
