This Business is Expanding
In these times of low inflation Balloonaholics' business relies on high inflation helium-inspired.

Chief balloonist Judy says she has been blowing up balloons professionally for 32 years, seven of those years in Mooroolbark.

Very colourful.

It is definitely a family business, with Judy assisted by her two daughters, Andrea and Jo. Gary is husband, father and delivery boy number two. They are not sure what happened to delivery boy number one. Maybe he overfilled a very large balloon and just floated away.

Think balloons and you think parties. So it's not surprising that they also sell party catering supplies in the form of paper plates, serviettes and cups.

I noticed a large range of banners. 'Happy birthday' banners for all the major age milestones, even 'welcome home' and 'bon voyage' banners. Numbered cake candles was another item noticed.

You can purchase party invitations and a guest book, complete with pen, to record all those that responded to the invitation.

All adds to the party fun.

Naturally a large range of empty balloons are available to take home, but if you run out of puff, you can hire helium bottles to do the filling job.

birthday cards
Plenty of cards to choose from.

Balloons, instead of flowers, on St. Valentine's Day are becoming popular.

Talking to Andrea the most surprising thing I learned was that the week leading up to the AFL Grand Final is their busiest week of the year. "We are run off our feet supplying balloons for grand final parties, particularly if Collingwood is involved."

Balloonaholics can deliver, via Gary, fully inflated balloons for your party or as a birthday present or for any event.

Balloons conjure up fun times and after a few minutes at Balloonaholics, you will know why.
