We all helped to set it up. And then we flew – so lightly and so high – like a feather blown through the air. The strangest part was how easy and natural it felt. I looked down at fully-grown trees below us, and realised it hadn't even occured to me to wonder if we'd hit them – even though they were less than fifty metres from our launch point.
For sections of the flight, we were so close that we could call out conversations with people on the ground, and hear their dogs barking (and running back and forth). We also saw kangaroos bouncing away from us.
