The Ballarat Wildlife Park is an interesting place. It has kid friendly open grass areas with roaming Kangaroos you can feed and touch and wide concrete paths for prams and wheelchairs. However, while I enjoyed the Snake Show and learning about venomous snakes immensely, the wildlife park is an all day event as there's at least an hour wait between each animal shows. By 2:30pm, I had seen everything and wanted to head home, however if you have kids with lots of energy that enjoy exploring, the Ballarat Wildlife Park would be ideal. Also, the Ballarat Wildlife Park has little undercover areas, so hats and sunscreen are highly recommended.
Food and Drink:
There is a hot-food kiosk available, however there is long waiting time combined with a small indoor eating area makes the bring-your-own-lunch and outdoor picnic option more viable.
