The Ballarat Urban Navigation Series (BUNS) is a simple orienteering-style navigation challenge within the urban streets and beautiful parklands of Ballarat. BUNS have scheduled four events on 6 & 20 August and 3 & 17 September.

It's a challenge over a 45 minute period where you can walk, jog or run. There are twenty checkpoints available to find using your map. You can find as many or as few as you like and take any suitable path you like.

BUNS caters for all ages and levels of fitness, maturity and experience.

Participants meet at 11.00am for an 11.15am start, to finish at the meeting point by 12 noon. Experienced urban navigators always available to help newcomers.

It's interesting to have orienteering in the streets. When I read the email tag line I pictured bushland tracks and abseiling. I like this idea much better.
