Goldfields History & Heritage
Introduced in 2006 by Ballarat Regional Tourism, the Ballarat Heritage Weekend has firmly established itself as an annual community cultural festival and to be staged this year over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday the 26th & 27th of May.

The weekend features a big program of events showcasing Ballarat's historic assets including access to historic buildings, heritage tours, free entertainment, activities and performances.

This year's event will focus on past and present technology looking at inventions and technological development over the last 100 years as well as using modern technology to explore the past.
Feature events include fashion, historic buildings tours, robots, music, & television and a new tour of the Ballarat Gaol Ė there's even a beard growing competition.

The Ballarat Pass includes some big added value discounts for entry to Ballarat Ghost Tours, Goldrush Mini Golf, Blood On The Southern Cross, The Tangled Maze, Bird World, Art Gallery of Ballarat and Creswick Woollen Mills.
The Ballarat Pass costs Adults $116, Children 5 to 15 years $63 and a Family (2A 4C) $311.

Ballarat really is living history and a place that every Australian should visit at least once in their lives. As well as being educational a tour of Ballarat's many attractions is also a lot of fun.
Ballarat is 115 Kilometres northwest of Melbourne, about a 90-minute drive via the M1 and National Highway M8.
Alternatively, VLine operate regular fast rail services between Melbourne (Spencer Street) and Ballarat.
