The annual Ballarat Cabaret Festival is taking centre stage from 5 to 8 October, 2017.
Australia's only regional cabaret festival brings the best of cabaret entertainment into the heart of Ballarat. Shows will be performed at the historic venues such as the Ballarat Mining Exchange, Ballarat's Mechanic Institute and the Lost Ones Basement Bar
Paul McDermott of The Doug Anthony All Stars (DAAS) and Steven Gates from Tripod will be collaborating in the world premiere in Go Solo on 6 October.
Original songwriters Gillian Cosgriff will be performing Eight Songs in Eight Weeks on 6 October and Jude Perl will be at piano on 7 October.
Provocative and spontaneous, Dolly Diamond will present a fresh take on the TV classic with Dolly Diamond's Bl*nkety Bl*nks on 7 and 8 October.
Showcasing the next generation of talent there will be six superb acts from Federation University Arts Academy graduating class in Cabaret Neu on 8 October, while this year's festival also features The Aspie Hour - a collaboration between two emerging cabaret stars, Sophie Smyth and Ryan Smedley.
