It's Almost Beer O'Clock
For one fabulous day, Ballarat will be re-named "Beerllarat" for the unmissable annual beer event, the Ballarat Beer Festival. The festival will be held on Saturday 19 January 2019 from 11am to 8pm for a "beery" good day out.

This year's theme, the Garden Edition celebrates the move of the festival to a beautiful brand new location in the Northern Gardens by the stunning Lake Wendouree. It's a time to celebrate the very best of craft beer and their magical makers with beer education classes, blind tastings, trivia games, the popular brewers sack race and plenty more to keep you entertained.

With over 150 different brews from all across Australia, as well as many award-winning regional wines, you'll be sure to find a few new favourites as you sip your way around. Click here to check out some of the brewers that will be at the festival.

If beer is not your cup of tea, then local wineries will be on hand serving up glasses of a variety of wines and wine cocktails. There will, of course, be plenty of non-alcoholic drink options available also.

Other great beer events will also be on as part of the festival. Why not give Beer Yoga a go over at The Healthy Hub Café and Wellness Centre? Yep, Beer and Yoga a match made in heaven and a challenge to ensure that you don't spill a drop of the golden ale. Beer Yoga is included in your festival ticket.

There is a tram track in Ballarat but it's only around the lake so unfortunately you can't pick it (the tram) up at the Wendouree station.
