Fancy a drink for cheap? Balcony Bar's got you covered
It's the new hangout spot that not many people have discovered - yet.

Balcony Bar on King William Street is strategically located within the Blue Galah backpackers complex on King William Street, which makes it an equally difficult place to find yet equally rewarding to enjoy.

It's got a chilled, relaxed feel to it - in terms of the crowd, the drinks, the staff members and the general ambience of the place.

Balcony Bar is an excellent place to get quiet drinks, or have a mini-party before heading out to the bigger pubs, bars and clubs in the Adelaide CBD district, particularly on Saturday nights.

They also offer you a membership that entitles to to a free vodka drink on a Saturday night (once you become a member), in addition to texts and emails about their latest promotions and weekly specials.

The aspect that makes Balcony Bar the go-to place for chilling with friends is that you have the opportunity of meeting a multitude of people from different countries, races and backgrounds, and it does not take too long to become friends with them. It's a great socializing spot with a backpackers hotel attached to its vicinity.

There are specials running throughout the week, with Saturday night specials applied to members.

$7.50 tequila shots

During the week, one can enjoy $5 base spirits, $5 moscato and other forms of wine, and $6 Bulmers (on tap).

Saturday night gives members the opportunity to celebrate the weekend with $3 vodkas all night, along with the opportunity of getting snapped by their friendly photographer.

So stop by the Balcony Bar next time you find yourself in a bit of a financial fix, gather some friends while you're at it, and you'll be set for a fun evening.

Backpacker drinking spots are always great fun aren't they Xarah. I used to go to one at Glenelg that was great for meeting people too.

You're continuing a long tradition- 40 years ago that building was the Southern Cross Hotel. I was too young to enjoy a sip on the balcony, but it looks a great spot.
