Do you have a child that loves to twirl and move to music? Enrolling them in dance or creative movement classes is a great way for them to learn and express their enjoyment of dance. Learning dance movements is an enjoyable experience for kids, and improves their emotional, cognitive and physical development.

Dancing is an opportunity for all children, regardless of age, gender, special needs, or developmental stage, to interact with each other. It is a great energy release, and best of all – lots of fun! From a young age, dancing allows children to express themselves through imaginative dance and creative movement. For older children, dance classes offer them a supportive group learning environment outside their usual school environment. Older children will develop new friendships and interests, all while keeping fit and learning new creative abilities and skills.

Rebecca Wagner, Creative Principal at in Bulimba, believes that her little dancer programme provides a creative sanctuary for children to participate in an inclusive and supportive learning environment. For toddler aged children, parents and guardians are encouraged to actively participate with their children, sharing the experience.
"Balance offers young children a fun, friendly introduction to dance movements using props, engaging music and nursery rhymes," Rebecca said.
"All movements are based on children's natural movements of running, skipping, galloping, jumping and turning."
"For older children, our dance classes provide opportunities for the children to be active both physically and mentally, aiding in the development of coordination, strength, stability and confidence."

Balance's classes encourage girls and boys to participate. Themed classes, such as sea creatures or space adventures, allow all children to use their imagination and learn a variety of movements.

Why not take a leap, and encourage your little dancer's creative and physical abilities by enrolling them in dance classes this year!
