Balamara Bakery is situated on the main street of Winton on 76a Elderslie Street. Balamara means morning star in the local language and Balamara Bakery was certainly making our morning star shine brightly with its beautiful coffee. Scrolling down on some reviews for breakfast place in Winton, we found a lot of people suggested Balamara Bakery to grab a fresh and yummy breakfast. Not many places open in Winton on Sundays, but Balamara Bakery still runs its business on Sunday mornings.
Balamara Bakery is not only serving beautiful coffee but also a lot on their menu for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner (only on Fridays) also take away options. Everything is made on the spot with fresh ingredients. Beside hot drinks, you can also find heaps of options for cold drinks. Lamingtons, lemon tarts, finger buns, apple and cinnamon scroll and cinnamon doughnuts are some treats for your sweet tooth.
The place is very clean with the option of outdoor and indoor sitting areas. There are some comfy sofas placed by the window and also bar stools facing the other window to see some old buildings across from Balamara Bakery. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
While waiting for our order ready, my eyes caught some Aboriginal paintings on the wall. Not long after, hubby's steamy beef pie and my sandwich arrived with our coffee. People were busy chatting and the owner came to greet some people and sometimes join in their conversation. What ambience!
Balamara Bakery is open every day at 6am, except on Sundays when they open at 7am. On weekdays, they close at 2pm, except Fridays, they will close at 8pm. On weekend they will open until 1pm.
