A celebration of cake and the cake community; the Bakery Lane Bake Off on Saturday 31 August 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at My Bakery Lane, 690 Ann St, Fortitude Valley more than shakes up the community with excitement.
Sponsored by some of the biggest names in cake decorating, this is a Cake Festival that supports Cake Angels Network, giving speciality cakes to kids with serious medical challenges to create sweet treasured memories of their special day. If you'd like to join in and put a smile on a kid's face by creating a custom cake, become a sponsor, volunteer or make a donation, head over to the website.
Though a FREE event, you might want to REGISTER for your FREE ticket as it entitles you to receive some cool stuff on arrival in your FREE goodie bag. A tote bag full of gifts from awesome sponsors and special guests.
If you want to be part of theSMACKDOWNwhen bakers, shakers and cake makers step out into the spotlight for a cake decorating smackdown like you've never seen before, you only have till 14 August 2019 to register before entries close. Stage 3 will have 30 minutes of glory for contestants as they cream, fondant, blend, palette, swirl and sprinkle their way through the competition.
If you already own Sugar Rebels by Nick Makrides, bring it with you so he can sign it at the book signing at 1pm. Following is the program for the day so you don't miss any of the sweet bits. In between fillers include giveaways, charity auction, live music, cake-themed Drag act (because they're opposite the fab Beat Megaclub) and more.

As you can see, this is not your usual same old same old cake expo showing the same old things. Cakes are a celebration, so come along and celebrate and go crazy at stalls with some of your favourite brands and lots of other fun stuff at a street party to celebrate all things sugar and fun.
