Bundraiser Day is the day that the heavenly smell of freshly baked hot cross buns will fill the air throughout Australia and New Zealand, as nearly one million hot cross buns are baked and sold. Bakers Delight bakeries across Australia and New Zealand donate $1 from every six-pack sold to local state children's hospitals for the purchase of essential medical equipment and to help fund hospital programs.
Over 600 Bakers Delight bakeries had their most successful fundraising days in 2013, raising approximately $140,000 to help sick children.
