A family favourite of ours is to head out on the weekend and go to a bakery. My son almost always wants a doughnut, my husband some sort of beef pie and me... well I've recently gone from vegetarian to vegan which really limits my options.
Can you imagine my excitement when I heard about all the delicious food made at the Bakehouse On Collins in Hackham?
We visited Bakehouse On Collins recently and I was pleasantly surprised at their range of both sweet and savoury vegan goodies.
There are no huge signs on the road pointing you to the little bakehouse - no neon lights, just a shop front with some chairs and a table out the front and colourful display cases.
With nine different vegan hot pastries to choose from including curried lentil pies, satay cauliflower pies and curried spinach rolls, there's plenty to keep you coming back for more. Looking for dessert? Bakehouse On Collins sells a range of vegan desserts including doughnuts and the oh so yummy peanut butter choc chip cookies.
