Normally, twice per year I like to have my three vegan weeks. Just for a break.
Here I present the Winter Veggie tale recipe.
It is indeed a very simple and inexpensive, but extremely delicious and nutritious recipe. Recommended once or twice per month, especially in cold winter nights, it should be consumed on an empty stomach with a glass of Shiraz or Rosé.
Main characters:
4 big potatoes
3 normal apples (better, use sweet-sour apples)
250 g mushrooms
1 big onion
A pinch of black pepper
A pinch of sugar
Salt
Rosemary
50 ml red wine
Olive oil
The simplest script ever:
Preheat the oven.
Cut the onion in slices and put it in a baking dish together with the olive oil.
In five minutes, add the sliced potatoes, too.
In five more minutes introduce the chopped apples and mushrooms to the already heated potatoes and onion.
Sprinkle some rosemary and black pepper over, add salt to taste and some sugar if you prefer, and – finale – savour it with a little bit of red wine…
Grand Finale – consume and enjoy.
