Simply beautiful
This gorgeous private beach has been serving locals and tourists alike since the mid-19th century, providing a stunning, scenic setting for those wishing to relax or even enjoy their wedding day.

You can find Bagno Elena just a short walk away from the metro station at Mergellina, the coastal region of Naples at the foot of the Posillipo Hill. The small fishing port charms many visitors through its calming and simple nature, while boasting Bagno Elena as one of its major relaxation spots.

It's very difficult to find a traditional, peaceful beach in the city, and so this one represents much more than just an opportunity to chill out as the sun hangs in the air until the cool of the evening draws in. There are snacks and drinks available at the bar on-site, but it's perhaps best to go to one of several establishments just a stone's throw away, where local fishermen have been selling their delicious catch for years.

Worth the entrance fee

After spending some deserved time chilling out on the many sun loungers available, you can let your feet melt away on the golden sand, before jumping head first into the refreshing blue water of the Gulf of Naples that lies ahead.

Moreover, with unparalleled views of the formidable Vesuvius, along with the ancient watchtower and 17th-century palace either side of you, Bagno Elena is the ideal spot to let all your troubles float away, even if it's just for a couple of hours…
