For all of you thinking that 'Badmanner' isn't your typical restaurant name, you're absolutely right - but 'Badmanner' is also not your average local cafe! The owner of Badmanner Thymes Espresso, Scott, was kind enough to spare time in his busy day to have a chat with me. Badmanner Thymes Espresso was named as such, because Scott considered it bad manners when potential customers walk past without popping in for a (great) coffee or a (delicious) bite to eat - I cracked up laughing when he told me this!
Situated in an area with many other cafes and restaurants, Badmanner Thymes Espresso's location was perfect, with natural lighting shining through the windows. The design and decor in Badmanner Thymes Espresso was modern and quite minimal, and very much aesthetically pleasing.
I'm no interior designer, but I still think the decor and layout is fantastic!
There were plenty of options to choose from, from both the breakfast and lunch menus. Badmanner Thymes Espresso uses organic ingredients when possible, such as their eggs and bread. They also have an extensive menu of drinks, including cold drips - I would've gotten one if it wasn't so cold and windy on the day I visited!
I really wanted the Bad Manner Breakfast (i.e. big breakfast), but was unsure if I should since I am allergic to egg yolk. Badmanner Thymes Espresso was kind enough to fry my eggs for me without the yolk - thank you for putting in that extra effort, it is very much appreciated!
Bad Manner Breakfast: 2 organic eggs, cured bacon, pork sausage, button mushrooms, vine tomato, and potato hash with sour dough.
In addition to their extensive menu, there are also heaps of specials and combos to choose from at the counter. And in case you thought it couldn't get any better, they also have a selection of freshly baked pasties waiting to be consumed - here at Badmanner Thymes Espresso, customers are definitely spoiled for choice!
The staff were super friendly, who love having a chat and a laugh. Scott, the owner, is very much hands on - in fact, I had no idea he was the owner, because he was the one who brought my coffee out! Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, and Badmanner Thymes Espresso is dog friendly - yay! Sadly, I did not bring Eddy on my trip to New South Wales, so he had to give this particular cafe a miss. Sorry buddy, I promise I'll bring you next time!
Thanks again Scott for taking time out for a chat!
