in Glebe is an institution in the Inner West amongst students and locals. The cafe stands out for being entirely vegetarian and somewhat quirky in its look and feel. It takes standards like lasagne and makes them their own, packing them full of vegetables.

Add to that a truly global vibe, with cuisines from around the world and you have a winner. The place is one for the arty crowd, too, with paintings and sketches sold at the till – they're pretty good too.

Returning to the food, their baba ghanoush is delectable and, in fact, their spread of Middle Eastern fare is always worth a try. Of course, there are standards such as the vegetarian burger which is mighty good. Their selection of cakes should satisfy any sweet tooth and the choice includes two cheese cakes, a fine chocolate cake and a carrot cake.

And if food isn't what you're after, then the spread of coffees and teas will keep you happy. Badde Manors keep the Middle Eastern bent evident elsewhere and serve a fresh and relaxing mint tea. If that's not your thing, then try the spiced teas; a little bit of the exotic in Sydney.

It's easy to feel comfortable here with the staff always making you feel welcome and they're usually ready with tips and suggestions and information. Unsurprisingly, the cafe is usually pretty busy with the homely look and feel drawing in quite a few people but if you're patient, you'll always get a table.

So , come and enjoy the experience that is Badde Manors.
