Experience local craft beer and pub food hidden in Newstead
Around the backstreets of Newstead and Teneriffe you will find a surprising collection of beer establishments. These honoured places will serve you craft beer, ordinary beer or their own heady concoctions made in-house. Most of these places are open late morning or early evening and will not only put a cold one in front of you, but also offer you food. Whether the food involves pub meals, seafood or something from the burgeoning food truck, trade is dependant on the place you are in at the time.
Got a spare afternoon? Grab a friend or two and don't take the car unless you have a designated driver. This sampling of hops-inspired establishments will help you discover the local pub food, craft beers and breweries in Newstead.

Open Every Night, Mon-Tue from 4pm, Wed-Thur from 12pm, Fri-Sat-Sun from 11am Description: All the beers here are made in the vats you see behind the bar. While you're here, peruse the seafood menu or check out when the next food van is coming.
5. Twig and Berry Hidden Cocktail Bar - 92 Commercial Rd, Teneriffe. Open Thur from 5pm, Fri-Sun from 4pm to Midnight
Description: A hidden gem of cocktails, wines, whiskey and, yes, beer. They even have wood-fired pizza or take a punt on one of their shared plates.
