There are several hiking companies located in New York City where you can make arrangements for your next backpacking trip.
Wild Earth Adventures
This company organizes backpacking trips for residents of New York City and the surrounding areas. They arrange transportation from New York City to where the trips will begin, so you have a choice of meeting them in New York City or using your own transportation to drive to the trip's starting point. The company is based in Suffern, New York, which is about 30 miles northwest of New York City.
