It's that time of the year again when the Town Crier will be out at the 2019 Back to St Bartholomew's Day at the St Bartholomew's Church at Ponds Road, Prospect.



The Open Day, hosted by The Friends of St Bartholomew's and supported by Blacktown City Council, will be held on the 6 April 2019 from 9am to 3pm.

At 10am, there will be an Official Opening and the guest speaker will be Jill Finch, President of Friends of St Bartholomew's: Presentation on the history of St Bartholomew's Church and Cemetery.

If you don't have any transport, don't worry as there will be a free shuttle bus from Blacktown City Council Carpark at Flushcombe Road, Blacktown from 9am or you can drive yourself and park onsite for free.



There will be heaps to do during the day:

Town Crier.

NSW Corps of Marines will give drill demonstrations.

Wandering Minstrels

Historical displays on Church and Cemetery history.

St Bartholomew's cemetery records available for family history research.



Self-guided cemetery tours.

Demonstration of simple conservation work done on graves.

Local historical societies trade tables.



Refreshments and variety stalls.



Not only will you have a great time at Back to St Bartholomew's Day, but you will also be able to learn more about the history that surrounds the St Bartholomew's Church.
