Have been to the
Bacco Wine Bar at the Queen Victoria Building a couple of times. The first time was for a coffee and cake experience on a Friday morning, and the coffee hit the spot. The temperature was excellent, and so was the roasting. There was no need to add any sugar into my caffeine delight. Contentment and happiness was the order of the day until the dessert arrived; the cannelloni wasn't too bad, although it was loaded with way too much sugar, and the custard was quite powdery. Now a coffee only establishment so far.
On my following visit, I came here for lunch and tried a panini with ham. Verdict: not bad although the bread roll did not taste fresh and was quite chewy and therefore I felt yuck from eating way too much dough. A friend of mine had the pizza and the crusts were burnt. I tried a slice of her pizza and the verdict was unanimous on the crust.
If a coffee is all you are wanting, then this establishment is just right for this occasion. Save your appetite and eat out elsewhere.
