Drummoyne Community Centre
In October and November, the very popular Baby Yoga classes are being scheduled. Starting on 18th October, the course runs every week for 4 consecutive weeks (except Nov 1) at the Drummoyne Community Centre between 11 am and noon. This will be the perfect opportunity to engage with your little one, learn yoga techniques for babies and interact with the community of caregivers. The sessions are suitable for babies under 12 months of age. And if you are an expectant parent, come join in to be better prepared for when your little one arrives.
To attend any sessions at the DCC, membership is required which is easily available for a nominal fee of $12 per year. It may be required to head up to the community centre to complete the membership paperwork. You can then attend any of the DCC sessions for the year. Each baby yoga session is then charged a nominal fee of $5.
The facilitator is the very lovely Dympna Kennedy, an early childhood educator and a baby yoga teacher. Dympna is very passionate about babies, children and the bond between the caregivers and babies. She also facilitates programs for dads which are very popular.
The simple yet effective techniques and practices in this program will help create a healthier bond between babies and caregivers. Yoga and massage, work as effective settling techniques and provide you with the opportunity to engage with your beautiful infant even further.
