If you happen to be visiting Adelaide Fringe's The Garden of Unearthly Delights in the evening and are still undecided on what show to see, I recommend you make your way to Le Cascadeur for the 8.30pm performance of 'Baby Wants Candy The Full Band Improvised Musical' .

This is USA based Baby Wants Candy's (BWC) debut at Adelaide Fringe and they don't disappoint. BWC's improvised musical is based around audience participation - the audience suggest the title and theme of musical and BWC then improvise, delivering a very entertaining musical performance.

We attended BWC's performance on Saturday, 4 March 2017 which was "the opening and closing night" of Trump Burlesque - The Musical, direct from the Oval Orifice ("not to be confused with the oral orifice").

The Trump Burlesque troupe are French, with the ability to morph into German and (favourably for them) Russian accents. They nominate their most treasured burlesque performer, Sabine to woo Trump and thus ensure the longevity of Trump Burlesque - The Musical and France's relationship with America.

Interestingly, the character of Trump is more than adequately performed by a female artist from BWC - who perfectly emulated the persona of Trump. Let's just say it was one interesting and funny show!

BWC's full band is a 5 piece band with one band member (the key board) being a permanent BWC performer and the remaining 4 band members are recruited from the home town of wherever BWC is performing - in this case, Adelaide.

Just a heads-up - Le Cascadeur's seating arrangements are very basic and very cramped but it does have air-conditioning and great acoustics! Based on the performance and reputation of Baby Wants Candy! - I can see them booking out in future Adelaide Fringe events in a larger (more comfortable) cabaret-style spiegeltent.

'Baby Wants Candy The Full Band Improvised Musical' performs nightly shows from 8.30pm to 9.30pm in Le Cascadeur for the duration of 2017 Adelaide Fringe.
