In Baby Proof Mocktails for the Mom-to-be , author Nicole Nared-Washington goes on to state that you may be enduring plenty of uncomfortable responses such as nausea, vomiting, constipation, stretch marks, fatigue, loss of appetite, crazy cravings, headaches, swollen feet, swollen legs, etc. and you would just like a drink! She goes on to say that you can probably find a drink for each of your symptoms in this book.

In Summary

Each chapter begins with a list of things to do to get ready for the birth of the baby, everything from sharing the news with family and friends to taking baby classes. Then, after that the things to do, the recipes are shared.

The recipes include:

The First Trimester
Cucumber Lemonade

The Second Trimester
Cantaloupe Mimosa
Blackberry Mojito

The Third Trimester
Brownie Affogato Sundae
Strawberry Shortcake Shooters
Classic Root Beer Float

In Opinion

I chose the drinks that are highlighted in this book review. No, I am not pregnant but I have put myself in "her" position to figure out what I would want out of this book.

Instead of the same Simple Syrup recipe that is almost like a ritual, she gave different variations of Simple Syrup recipes. What is my favorite? Cinnamon Simple Syrup. This would make a delicious iced tea for example.

All in all, I give this book a 5-star rating.
