Location

is located alongside the esplanade in Sandgate, a coastal suburb approximately 16 kilometers north of Brisbane's central business district. Being located only a short drive from the city, Sandgate became a popular escape for people living in Brisbane during the early 20th century, and remains a popular option for weekend getaways to this very day. With great views of the waterfront from , it's the perfect spot for a 'meal with a view'.

Dogs

With Sandgate being a popular destination for both people and their furbabies alike, potential customers will be happy to know that welcomes doggy patrons to join their hoomans for a nice meal, provided that all parties opt for the outdoor seating. They'll even provide a large water bowl (more like a bucket) to ensure your pups stay hydrated during their visit.

Ambience

Being located by the beautiful waterfront, you can probably already imagine the picturesque scenery, complete with a serene and relaxing ambience - and you're exactly right on that front! With the cafe and surrounding area buzzing with friendly locals and visitors alike, here to either enjoy a getaway from city life or here to enjoy their backyard, always has room for one more friendly patron like yourself!

Food

offers both a breakfast and lunch menu - breakfast is served from when the cafe first opens until 11:30am, whereas lunch is served from 11:30am until the kitchen closes. Both menus offer extensive food choices with a wide variety of items to suit all stomachs and appetite - does cater for any dietary requirements when possible, so do let a friendly staff member know should you have any. There is a separate kid's breakfast and lunch menu too. It is also worth noting that uses only free range eggs, use only ham carved from the bone (no processed meats), and that they cure their own salmon. They also use locally sourced herbs, fruit, and vegetables whenever possible.

Despite the food being prepared fresh, the waiting period between ordering and eating was not long at all. The food itself was delicious, and unique, bringing a modern twist to classic breakfast and lunch items that can be found in most cafes. The field mushroom especially blew me away - it was fried to crispy perfection on the outside, complemented by soft deliciousness on the inside that literally melts in your mouth.

Don't forget to check out the kitchen counter for some yummy baked goodies, because no great meal is complete without an equally great dessert!

Drink

Same as how no great meal is complete without an equally great dessert, a meal that is worthy of being called 'great' must also have, of course, a drink to help one wash down the food. Choose from coffee the way you like it, a range of silk-bag teas served in a pot, milkshakes, or fresh juice (orange, apple, ginger, celery, carrot - any combo). For the coffee addicts out there, has a reward card system in which you get your 10th coffee free of charge!

Thanks for such a lovely morning by the water, !
