One of the restaurants located at Gilles Plains Shopping Centre, Ba-Mi Gilles Plains specializes in Vietnamese cuisine. Their menu primarily focuses on Vietnamese street food, with a few larger dishes for those wanting a more filling meal.
Their Combination Banh Mi features a combination of grilled chicken and roast pork. The chicken was tender and had a nice char to it. The roast pork provided a change of texture and the crackling added a bit of crunch. House-made pickled carrot and radish added a hint of tanginess. While chilli was included, it was not too hot.

For vegetarians, there is the option of Tofu Banh Mi. The tofu had a softer texture compared to their meats and had a mild nutty flavour. It was fried to give the exterior a bit of crust. For vegans, mayonnaise can be substituted with a vegan version.

The restaurant is fairly small in size and had a casual feel. Parking is not a problem as Gilles Plains Shopping Centre's carpark provides ample parking space.
