The aZzBand, performing at Cube 37, Frankston Arts Centre this January, present a united musical night featuring musicians from Italy, Venezuela, Spain, Australia and Germany.
From jazz to tarantella, tango to fanfare, Uruguayan candombe to Argentine Murga, the aZzBand interprets and mixes the music of the world.
aZzBand at Frankston Arts Centre
Although the aZzBand takes influence from Jazz music, you will notice the missing "J" from the name of the ensemble; this is done purposely to add a uniqueness that is the aZzBand. The band removes itself to any particular musical genre and this is why the group of musicians choose the call themselves an "Azz Band"!.
The aZzBand's one-off performance on the evening of Wednesday 25 January, will be presented in an intimate cabaret setting.
To accompany the performance, you are invited to join the World Percussion Workshop by aZzBand's Yonder Rodriguez if you wish. Percussion instruments from around the globe will be on show and some instruments provided, however you are encouraged to bring your own instruments if possible.
Join the musical workshop at 6pm, otherwise enjoy the show, which begins at 8pm. Tickets are available to book HERE.
Proudly supported by the Consulate General of Spain in Melbourne.
