You'll find a place to stop and smell the roses (or more correctly, the gum trees) and a base for exploring the surrounding South West region at Ayr Sailean.

Sunset at Ayr Sailean
This is a camping ground with powered and unpowered sites and a few cabins and chalets set within a working farm, just off the South Coast Highway, midway between Walpole and beautiful Denmark.
Facilities include an extremely well-equipped camp kitchen with ample space to sit once you've cooked, a good amenities block, the facility to make campfires (with wood provided) and best of all, it's dog-friendly. Our experience of the dogs were that there was very little barking, they were well behaved and always tied up.

Ayr Sailean provides easy access to Ocean Beach, Denmark
Although Ayr Sailean is inland and on a farm, it is still picturesque in mid-summer with its fascinating granite boulders and Bornhardts scattered around. It provides easy access to Walpole, Denmark, Albany, many gorgeous beaches and the winegrowing areas of Mt Barker, Denmark and Porongurup. There's plenty of other local produce to discover nearby too, like toffee, mead and cider.
